Memento: Modern Reminders Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (the “Policy”) governs your use of the software application Memento: Modern Reminders (“Memento”) for mobile devices, which was created by Mark DiFranco. This Policy applies to all information collected or submitted though your use of Memento, and to all information transmitted to us by other means. We regard the protection and the confidentiality of your data as very important.
What information does Memento obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
Your mobile device stores the information you provide when you use Memento. Information you provide is stored locally on your mobile device and not on external servers, except for non-personally identifiable metadata, as further described below.
We further obtain the information you provide us when you contact us for any reason, including when you leave us a review or email us to receive technical support or to provide feedback.
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, Memento may collect non-personally identifiable metadata automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, the county in which you use Memento, and other non-personal statistics such as how often users use Memento.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by Memento?
Memento uses Apple’s iCloud services as well as Apple’s analytics services, if the user has enabled such services. Memento also uses TelemetryDeck's anonymous analytics services. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy can be found here.
We will not disclose your information without your consent, unless:
(a) disclosure is required by law, such as to comply with a court order; or
(b) we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, protect our rights, or respond to a government request.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can easily stop all collection and use of information by Memento by uninstalling Memento. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
How and Why We Use Information
All information collected is used to operate and improve Memento. We strive to provide users with the best possible experience, so user feedback and reviews commonly inform development decisions.
We may also use the information you provide us to respond to requests for technical support or to provide legally required notices.
Children
We do not use Memento to knowingly solicit data from or market to children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she may contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to all such requests as soon as reasonably possible.
Security
We are committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the limited amount of information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized Memento representatives who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide the best possible security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches or other risks.
